Days after an incident in which Diddy punched Drake outside a Miami nightclub for allegedly disrespecting him andstealing one of his songs, new information has surfaced to suggest the two hitmakers have been feuding for months. In a video — reportedly filmed last June at a Mase performance — making the rounds online, Diddy is seen telling the crowd that “I gave this shit to a n*****, this n***** stole this shit from me” before playing Drake’s “0 to 100” as his own song.
As previously reported, Diddy confronted Drake about the song, which is nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, during an Art Basel party Sunday night. When Drake allegedly brushed off the veteran rapper, Diddy was heard telling him, “You’ll never disrespect me again,” before initiating the brawl.
According to reports, producer Boi-1da gave both Drake and Diddy rights to record the song more than eight months ago. Though Diddy sat on it, Drake recorded it himself and released it before the Bad Boy Records mogul had a chance to give his take on the track.
Drake, who was said to have suffered a dislocated shoulder from the fight, has remained quiet since news of the scuffle. In true Drake fashion, the “Started From the Bottom” rapper has only posted Instagram shots of himself looking pensive inside a hotel room with the cryptic caption, “They’re either talking shit about you or stealing the shit you’re talking…either way the name been poppin.”
Ugh. Those feels, man.
