A member from Nicki Minaj‘s team has been stabbed to death while another is currently in critical condition.
According to the rapper herself, De’Von Pickett, a stage hand for Minaj’s upcoming tour, passed away from his injuries early Wednesday following a violent altercation at a Philadelphia bar. Eric Parker, who is also a roadie on the same tour, survived but is fighting for his life at a local hospital.
Minaj wrote about the incident in the morning:
Two members of my team were stabbed last night in Philly. One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour.

According to reports, an argument between Pickett, 29, Parker, 27, and another man broke out around 2 a.m. Wednesday inside Che Bar & Grill in Philadelphia’s West Oak Lane neighborhood. There, the suspect pulled out a knife before attacking Pickett and Parker, who arrived in town just two days prior to rehearse for The Pinkprint Tour.
“We believe that both of the victims, as well as the perpetrator, were all inside of this bar and that’s when an argument started,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
He added of Parker, “We believe he is going to survive his injuries.”
The suspect was last seen driving a gray Buick LeSabre.
