If you don’t celebrate your wedding anniversary by writing a song for your partner, then you’re doing it wrong. Just ask Beyoncé, who released a new single (a piano ballad!) in honor of her sweetheart, Jay Z.
Queen Bey dropped the new track “Die With You” in celebration of her and Jay Z’s 7th wedding anniversary yesterday. They married on April 4, 2008 – man, has it already been seven years?!
And when Bey and Jay celebrate, the whole world gets to celebrate, too.
That is, if you have Tidal, Jay Z’s new premium music streaming service. The full video (filmed by the king Jay Z himself) is available exclusively on Tidal, in such a move we were all expecting.
Costing as low as $10/month, Tidal made waves last week when
the illuminati tons of today’s popular artists (who all have a share in the company) attended Tidal’s launch.
From Nicki Minaj to Rihanna to Madonna to Kanye West to Coldplay (and the list goes on), Tidal’s huge support from leaders in the music industry allows Jay Z to promise “a commitment to a new direction for the music industry from both a creative and business perspective.”
Case in point: this new Beyoncé song. It’s release was unexpected, and its sound is oh so sweet (also it’s Beyoncé, so duh, we’re into it), therefore making it all the more magical.
Listen to a teaser of “Die With You” on her Facebook. Beyoncé sings while playing the piano, wearing a snapback backwards and it’s amazing.
