It’s safe to say the countdown for the Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 premiere started, well, right after the opening of Part 1, and now with five months to go until the release, we have a little something to feed our appetite.
Lionsgate released an eerie new poster for Mockingjay – Part 2, featuring a beheaded statue of President Snow (Donald Sutherland).
The poster proves that the revolution is well underway for Panem with a red mockingjay — a symbol of fearless rebellion against the Capitol, inspired by Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) — graffiti’d behind the crumbling statue.
In the corner of the poster reads “#UniteRevolution,” encouraging fans to participate on social media while we wait the long five months before the Nov. 20 premiere.
It’s also notable how similar this year’s poster is to Part 1‘s. The difference being, Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Johanna Mason (Jena Malone) no longer stand obediently beside President Snow — a symbol of what’s to come.
If you simply cannot wait for more from Mockingjay – Part 2, check out the Revolution PN website, encouraging users to sign up and become a part of the revolution.
“Dawn is approaching,” the site reads. “A new day is on the horizon. Be part of the next generation of Panem. Enlist today.”
