Return of the Mack (for real though).

After breaking a nearly three-year recording hiatus earlier this month, with the release of “Growing Up,” Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are back with the single, “Downtown.”

The music video is “Thrift Shop” meets “Uptown Funk,” only a little funkier. The duo are seen cruising the streets in a moped, riding on the shoulders of motorcyclists, and macking on the ladies (obviously).

With a huge 1980’s influence, the video also includes hip-hop legends Grandmaster Caz, Grandmaster Melle Mel, and Kool Moe Dee.

“Downtown” will be the first single from Macklemore and Lewis’ follow-up to 2012’s The Heist, which was nominated for album of the year at the Grammys. The music video also comes out just in time for the two to perform it at this Sunday’s (Aug. 30, 2015) MTV Video Music Awards.
