A judge has ordered the “Rack City” rapper to pay $70,000 in back rent after the court found that the 25-year-old had stiffed his landlord, TMZ reports. Tyga has also been told to move out of the property for not paying rent.
However, Tyga, who is currently residing in a house that’s just a stone’s throw away from Jenner’s $2.7 million mansion in Calabasas, Calif., argues that he had actually bought the house and isn’t obligated to pay rent.
In a lawsuit filed by Tyga, he states that purchased the estate, which he once shared with ex-girlfriend Blac Chyna, a year ago and placed $200,000 as a down payment. He claims the landlord had allegedly agreed to him moving in during escrow without paying the $25,000 a month rent.
According to Tyga’s lawyer, the escrow was due to close months ago but the process was delayed as the seller of the property didn’t provide the emcee’s bank with enough information that would allow the loan to be processed.
