Here’s a reminder that the king of auto-tune is so much more than that.
Back in the fall, T-Pain made headlines when he delivered the gift of song with an auto-tune free voice for an NPR concert. Well, he’s back at it again, this time singing for an audience of more than 40,000 L.A. Dodgers fans. (We’re guessing some San Francisco Giants fans were also there).
On Monday (Aug. 31), the 29-year-old rapper stepped out in a customized Dodgers “805” jersey (he’s from Tallahassee, Fla.) and performed this nation’s great anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner.” According to T-Pain, the experience was a first:
To answer your question, sir, your rendition was fantastic.
The Dodgers would go on to win the game 5-4. For the superstitious, this means T-Pain should sing the national anthem at every single Dodgers game until the end of time.
Watch the beautiful performance, above.
