Chris Brown won’t be going “down under” any time soon.

Australia wants to ban Brown from continuing his world tour in their country as a penalty for his domestic violence in 2009 against ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Immigration officials declared, “People need to understand if you are going to commit domestic violence and then you want to travel around the world, there are going to be countries that say to you,

‘You cannot come in because you are not of the character we expect in Australia.'”

TMZ reports that the Prime Minister of Australia concurred, describing their statement as “brilliantly expressed”.

Though Brown’s visa has not been denied yet, protests against his tour have broken out in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. His visas in Britain, Canada and New Zealand have already been denied.
