Let’s face it: if we were invited to a celebrity wedding, we’d cry a river (at the sight of all the famous people).
Nearly two months after quietly and finally tying the knot with longtime love Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux is getting back into the grind of things. On Wednesday, the 44-year-old stopped by Good Morning America to promote the second season of HBO’s The Leftovers. Naturally, Robin Roberts did us all a favor and kindly asked about that little wedding that happened on a Wednesday.
“Something really does shift… in a wonderful way,” Theroux said on GMA about life as a newlywed. “It sort of refocuses things and in a weird way, it was a long time coming but also, it puts us in exactly the right space. I don’t know. It’s a wonderful thing.”
As previously reported, Aniston and Theroux’s nuptials had just about 70 guests that included Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Sandra Bullock (and her new boyfriend), Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, and Jimmy Kimmel, who officiated the whole thing.
“That was the biggest blessing in the world,” Theroux said of Kimmel’s role in the Aug. 5 ceremony. “He was extremely funny, kept things extremely light, was extremely touching. Cried a little bit. He did. Everyone did. It was the perfect tone for the night.”
And so far, the most perfect marriage of the year, considering how Hollywood has fared in the love department in recent months.
The Leftovers kicks off its sophomore season Oct. 4 on HBO.
