The Mean Girls actress took to Instagram on Friday (Oct. 16, 2015) to publicly declared her desire to run for president in 2020, against Kanye West. She did it by sharing a photo of herself at the 2012 White House Correspondents Dinner.
“In #2020 I may run for president,” she wrote. “Through ups and downs #YESWECAN lets do this @kanyewest 🇺🇸 #truespirits thank your for inspiring us to be better people @barackobama #kanyewest2020 #lindsaylohanat35 #lindsaylohan2020.”
Though it’s uncertain if she’s serious, the 29-year-old wouldn’t be old enough to qualify for a presidential run in 2020 because the minimum age is 35. However, she seems to be aware since she added hashtag “#34yearsofEXPERIENCE.”
Lindsay’s announcement comes just two months after West’s announcement at the 2015 MTV VMA’s that he will run for president in 2020. She also later posted another photo on Instagram, one of her and the rapper talking backstage at an event.
