Leah Remini is opening up about Scientology.
“The decision to leave is your giving up everything you’ve worked for your whole life,” she says. “I feel that people need to understand this has been my whole life. I want them to understand how it happens.”
The actress was open about her exit from the Church of Scientology in July of 2013, but Leah still has a lot to say about what she experienced.
She sat down for an interview with 20/20, and in a sneak peek says she lost touch with reality.
“As time goes on, you start to lose touch with the real world. The mindset becomes us against them,” she says in her interview. “Being critical of Tom Cruise is being critical of Scientology itself,” she says.
Leah is also posed the question, “If you knew that Tom Cruise was watching this, what would you say to him?” The video ends before she can reveal her answer.
The 45-year-old’s tell-all memoir Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology will be released on Nov. 3, 2015 and her interview with ABC News will air on Friday Oct. 30.
