Here is a shirtless reminder that Daniel Craig‘s latest film, Spectre, hits theaters this Friday (Nov. 6).
Craig never fails to amaze us in any of his movies and has kept the mysterious yet intriguing factor alive in James Bond for so many years now. But is he putting his character to rest and passing on James Bond to someone else?
In an interview with Time Out London Craig said he is ready to put the role behind him. When asked if he could imagine himself doing another Bond movie his response was:
“Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”
He’s known for being blunt, but that was just straight to the point. After he seemed a little aggravated from the previous question he went on to explain himself.
“Bond allows me to do anything I want to in some respects. It’s changed my working life in an incredible way. There are more opportunities. I could do many, many things. But it takes an awful amount of time. If anything, the restriction is that it is incredibly time-consuming. That’s the restriction.”
Production for Spectre totaled eight months and Craig has been filming these box office hits since 2006. So we could understand why he might be a little burnt out and looking for something new.
Of course we hope he sticks around and puts on the classic James Bond tuxedo again, but only time will tell. For now we can relish in the new movie, reminisce on the old, hope for the best, and indulge in his best shirtless moments, above.
