Well, that’s one way to celebrate.
Pamela Anderson woke up a winner this weekend. On Saturday, the actress and model took to Instagram to announce that her long battle with Hepatitis C is finally over.
“I am CURED!!!,” Pamela, 46, wrote.
“I just found out #nomorehepc #thankyou #blessing #family #prayer #live I pray anyone living with Hep C can qualify or afford treatment. It will be more available soon. I know treatment is hard to get still…”
The news comes just shortly after the Baywatch alum started a new FDA-approved anti-viral drug regimen over the summer. In September, the mother-of-two told Andy Cohen on his talk show that she had a “98 percent chance” of being cured. Pamela, who was diagnosed with Hep C in 2002, had previously experimented with alternative medicine.
“I think it really worked on my self esteem,” Pamela recently told People of her battle. “Even though I may have looked confident on the outside, I think it really was a dark cloud that lingered over me.”
