David Beckham was honored on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at the 6th Biennial UNICEF Ball with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Leadership Award. Spotted without wife Victoria, the soccer superstar-cum-Goodwill Ambassador hung out among Nicole Kidman and Selena Gomez, while Mariah Carey put on a stunning performance. The Mrs. still shared her pride through her Instagram account.
Beckham shared the following photo on his Instagram account, writing in the caption, “Extremely honoured to receive the UNICEF Humanitarian Leadership Award this evening at the UNICEF Ball. I can’t wait to continue doing all I can for Unicef and my 7 Fund, 7.org, to help children across the world.”
Becks spoke on the progress that needs to accomplished to assist struggling children worldwide in his acceptance speech. “We live in a world in which children still die of preventable diseases,” he said. “Children are still being abused. I have four children of my own. I will not stop supporting this charity that does so much for so many children around the world.”
