The feud continues.
Speaking with Captial FM’s Dave Berry on his radio show, Malik, 23, opened up about his grudge against Tomlinson, 24. While the “Pillowtalk” singer admittedly favorited a photo of Tomlinson’s newborn son on Twitter, Malik insisted that they’re still not friends.
“We’ll see if I get an invite [to visit the baby],” he said [via The Daily Mail]. “Obviously, I wish him the best of luck. His kid is cute as fuck so obviously I favorited it.”
He added, “We’re not talking on friend terms obviously, so that’s as far as I can go — by favoriting his picture.”
Though Tomlinson and the rest of the boys of One Direction extended an olive branch by including their former bandmate in their latest music video, Malik seems like he isn’t really ready to make nice. In fact, he has been basically biting the hand that fed him for five years.
In a recent interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, Malik revealed that he “never really wanted” to be part of the musical group that made him famous.
“I think I kind of always wanted to go. From like, the first year really. I never really wanted to be there, like, in the band,” he said. “I just gave it a go because it was there at the time.”
Soon after Malik left One Direction in March 2015, the British crooner and Tomlinson had a very public spat. When Tomlinson started poking fun at Malik’s then-friendNaughty Boy on Twitter, Malik lashed out and wrote back, “Remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine?”
Hmm, is someone starting to regret getting matching tattoos?
