Today, Usher debuted a harrowing video for his song “Chains”. Like the song, the video takes on the issue of police brutality and supports the Black Lives Matter movement. The song, a somber rhythm-driven track showcasing the crooner’s incredible range, is a meditation on communities torn apart by violence and systematic injustice.
The video is entirely black and white, featuring the singer mourning in a church amidst images of guns and handcuffs, as well as protestors carrying troubling signs like “Am I Next?”
