Start stripping those zucchinis.
There’s romance in the air in Washington D.C. for Michelle and Barack Obama this Valentine’s Day as they celebrate it for the last time in the White House. Before Barack can spew feelings for his wife, Michelle beats him to the punch with a sweet poem written in the spirit of Love Christmas on Thursday’s episode of Ellen.
“Roses are red, violets are blue, you are the president, and I am your boo’,” Michelle recites. “I wrote that when I was doing 100 push-ups this morning. It gets the creative juices flowing. You should try it, Ellen!”
Fortunately, Barack came fully loaded to record a steamy message of his own with Ellen DeGeneres‘s help.
“Somebody call The Situation Room because things are about to get hot,” begins Barack. “Michelle, this Valentine’s Day I’m going to treat you right. I’m going to make you some zucchini bread, and then I’m going to spread veggies on a plate just the way you like them.”
“Then I’m going to give you a massage while you watch… Ellen’s Design Challenge on HGTV?” he says, confused by the impromptu promo. “Because I love you so much I Obamacare about you more than you even know. That’s right, Obamacares.”
Barack told DeGeneres that he’s finally figured out the secret to a happy marriage. “Ya know, after about 15 years I finally figured out that she’s always right,” he says. “So then surprisingly we just stopped fighting after that.”
