She’s back in black.
After attending New York Fashion Week, Kim Kardashian was spotted back in the west coast to she film scenes for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Joined by BFF Jonathan Cheban, duo were seen visiting the Epione Cosmetic Laser Center in Beverly Hills with a camera crew in tow.
Kardashian was clad in a black fur coat and see-through top with her hair up in cornrow braids, which she has been rocking since giving birth to Saint West last year. Naturally, Twitter cried foul with accusations of cultural appropriation.
All of these girls with their hair in cornrows telling me it’s inspired by Kim Kardashian. Please take a seat.

Do not refer to cornrows as “Kim Kardashian braids” it is disrespectful to the culture that ALREADY EXISTED. Please and thanks.

RIP to Kim Kardashian and these damn cornrows please!

However, Kardashian wasn’t the only one in her family to have been accused of cultural appropriation lately. When Kylie Jenner, whose been known to not really give a damn about appropriating other people’s cultures, showed up at a New York Fashion Week runway show wearing a Yaki ponytail, many claimed she was stealing from the black community.
Needless to say, Twitter also had a field day with that one, too.
So. This is Kylie Jenner.
It must be so cool to be a Black woman for the aesthetics and face none of the issues. pic.twitter.com/BeITuj3MuR— Panic! At The Bando (@FireinFreetown) February 14, 2016
Just so we are all clear Kim Kardashian in braids and Kylie Jenner’s yaki ponytail are both examples of cultural appropriation…
