It’s good to be on top.
Jessica Biel had the honor and pleasure of working as her husband’s boss on their first collaboration, The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. Biel told Entertainment Tonight that she was a lenient producer over Justin Timberlake, who acted as the composer and music supervisor for the soundtrack.
“He’s much better left to his own devices,” Biel said of Timberlake. “I mean, I like to say that I was his boss, but I wasn’t really acting as his boss. So we had a good working relationship.”
The fudge maker admits that acting as a producer was more than she imagined it would be having previously watched others carry out the role from in front of the camera.
“[There are] so many more things to take care of, so many more hats to wear. Problems you have to fix,” explained at the film’s Tribeca Film Fest premiere in New York City on Thursday (Apr. 14). “Normally, [as an actor] you just come to set and don’t have to worry about any of the problems. I don’t have to worry about if the money is there. I don’t have to worry about if the cast is happy.”
