Never-before-seen text messages have surfaced detailing Johnny Depp’s violent, erratic behavior.
This conversation dates back to 2014, before the two were married, and hints at a terrifying pattern for the A-list actor.
“He’s done this many times before. Tokyo, the island, London (remember that?!), and I always stay,” Heard writes. “Always believe he’s going to get better…And then every 3 or so month [sic], I’m in the exact same position.”
The conversation centers on the aftermath of a particularly disturbing incident. Deuters is trying to get Heard to speak with Depp the day after the exchange.
“Think he’s just texted you. He’s incredibly apologetic and knows that he has done wrong,” Deuters writes. “He wants to get better now. He’s been very explicit about that this morning. Feel like we’re at a critical juncture.”
“Yes but I don’t know how to be around him after what he did to me yesterday,” Heard responds. “I don’t know if I can stay with him.”
The texts seem to reinforce Heard’s testimony that the movie star lashes out during drug-and-alcohol-fueled episodes, which he doesn’t remember afterward. “When I told him he kicked you, he cried,” Deuters writes. “It was disgusting. And he knows it.”
Heard was granted a temporary restraining ordering against Depp, who is currently on tour with his band the Hollywood Vampires.
