Joe Perry is in recovery, listed in stable condition, after he collapsed during a performance on Sunday (July 10, 2016) at Coney Island with his band the Hollywood Vampires.

Aerosmith‘s 65-year-old musician took to the stage with the band, comprised of Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp, when he suddenly fell ill and was rushed to the hospital.

CNN reports:

Video from an audience member shows Perry appearing slumped on a portion of the stage at the Ford Amphitheater on the Coney Island Boardwalk before he staggers behind a wall on stage, where members of the New York police and fire departments attended to him.

It was unclear Monday what caused Perry to collapse. A tweet from Perry’s official account said, “Thanks to all of the fans reaching out and asking about Joe. He is stable right now, with family and is under the best care.”
