After joining Corden in the car in the passenger seat and giving him a brief tour of the grounds, the First Lady asked to listen to some music, something she rarely gets to do when being driven around by the secret service. First Mrs. Obama and Corden rocked out to Stevie Wonder‘s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” before revealing she’d miss the White House staff the most when she finally moved out.
Next, Mrs. Obama and Corden performed a spot-on rendition of Beyoncé‘s “Single Ladies,” choreography and all. “We just dropped the mic,” Mrs. Obama declared, “We were making honey there in the bee hive, we were making honey to put in our lemonade!”
Mrs. Obama and Corden then jumped into a performance of “This Is For My Girls,” by Kelly Clarkson, Chloe x Halle, Missy Elliott, Jadagrace, Lea Michele, Janelle Monáe, Kelly Rowland and Zendaya, before being joined Elliot for the rap verse of the song.
Elliot rapping her verse was epic enough, but the rapper couldn’t leave without getting into her hit single “Get Ur Freak On,” giving Mrs. Obama the perfect opportunity to show off her rapping skills. And let us just say, they’re impressive.
