Sad news for fans of MTV’s Teen Wolf. Showrunner Jeff Davis announced on Thursday (July 21, 2016) at San Diego Comic-Con that Season 6 will be its last.
“I know we’re sad about it and it’s bittersweet but we’re so happy to be able to come to Comic-Con and share it with you guys,” he said on the panel, before hugging star Tyler Posey.
Meanwhile, Posey made a grand entrance to the panel, pouring a bottle of water over himself, a la Flashdance, and singing “Hungry Like a Wolf.” Thankfully, a Twitter user posted a video of the moment.

Speaking to EW before the Comic-Con panel on Thursday, Davis said the final season was going to be a “great gift to the fans.”
Posey added, “There’s nothing negative about all this. I’m really happy. I’m going to cry my eyes out [at the end]. And it’s going to be an ugly-cry too.”
Check out the trailer for the show’s upcoming final season, which features a surprise return by Peter (Ian Bohen).
Davis previously announced former star Dylan O’Brien would make an appearance in Season 6. On Thursday’s Comic-Con panel, Davis said, “When we realized this might be the last season, we wanted to make sure we brought back these relationships. We definitely wanted Peter Hale back to see the relationship between Peter and Malia and what other trouble Peter could get into… and we also have some great scenes between Peter and Stiles. I wanted to see again and Ian and Dylan [O’Brien] have some great stuff this season so we’ll see.”
Teen Wolf Season 6 premieres on MTV in November.
