The nominees for the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards were announced through Facebook Live on MTV’s official page, via graffiti art, on Tuesday (July 26, 2016).

Beyoncé leads the pack with 11 nominations for her visual album Lemonade, which is a personal record for her at this awards show. Adele received eight, while other frontrunners include Drake and  Kanye West.

Miley Cyrus was the host of last year’s three-ring circus where West announced his plans to run for president in 2020, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swiftburied the hatchet from the most drawn-out staged beef in the history of Twitter, and Justin Bieber floated up into the abyss before returning to a world in which he was suddenly very “Sorry”. Swift and Kendrick Lamar took home Video of the Year for “Bad Blood”.

This year’s awards ceremony will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City for the first time in its 33-year run on Sunday, August 28. Check out the list below to make your own predictions for the Moonman’s biggest night of the year.
