Florence + The Machine released three new songs from the video game soundtrack of the latest version of Final Fantasy XV.
The list includes two original tracks (“Too Much Is Never Enough,” “I Will Be”) and a cover of Ben E. King‘s “Stand By Me,” which was featured in the game’s trailer that debuted in March. The songs were produced by Emile Haynie who has previously written for Lana Del Rey and Kanye West.
“I’ve always seen ‘Final Fantasy’ as a beautiful and creative game so I don’t think I could have worked with another video game,” said Florence Welch of the project. “It wouldn’t have made sense. In some ways the landscape of ‘Final Fantasy’ and my own internal landscape seemed to fit quite well, it’s mythical and beautiful and epic.”
