After rising to fame with her groundbreaking role on Scandal, Kerry Washington is expanding her career by signing on to executive produce a new female-led cop drama.

According to Variety, Washington and ABC are collaborating to make a new show titled Patrol, which will focus on four women in the LAPD who went to the academy together and are brought back together by a powerful secret.

This is the 39-year-old’s second-ever producing gig following the HBO film Confirmation, which premiered in April.

I believe strongly in the importance of having a seat at the table, which makes starting this production company thrilling for me,” Washington said in a statement after inking an overall deal with ABC in April. “It’s an honor to be at a point in my career when I can help generate projects that are exciting, necessary, and truly reflect the world around us. I’m grateful to be on this journey with ABC, a network that remains unparalleled in its commitment to inclusive storytelling.”

No word on who will be in the new show just yet.
