Chris Pratt Is Taking an Acting Hiatus

After filming The Magnificent Seven, Passengers and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 all in a row, Chris Pratt has decided to take some well-deserved time off to be with his family.

The actor, who’s been married to Anna Faris for seven years, revealed to Parade magazine that he’d be spending half a year away from the cameras. Explaining his small hiatus, Pratt said much of his decision had to do with his four-year-old son, Jack.

“I’ve been on the road for 14 months – I did three movies back to back to back – so I’m taking six months off,” shared. “I’m taking Jack to Jack’s Beach — which is what we named the little stretch of beach on an island up on the San Juan Islands where we got a place. We’re going to go back to the fort we built about a month and a half ago when we went for a short visit and see if that’s still there. If not, we’re going to build it again.”

Pratt also recently shared his relationship advice. Having been with Faris since 2007, the Jurassic World star revealed that, contrary to popular belief, the best thing to do for a fighting couple is to go to bed angry.

“I have heard some people say ‘Don’t go to bed mad.’ I think that is garbage,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “Sometimes you’ve got to go to bed mad … but at least touch toes, you know what I mean? At least touch toes. ‘We will deal with it later. I think I am going to get some sleep,’ and touch toes.”
