Love her or hate her, you can’t deny that Sarah Palin is living large these days. The former Alaska governor Republican vice-presidential candidate has sold her six-bedroom, six-and-a-half bathroom mansion in Scottsdale, Ariz. for a whopping $2.275 million.
The desert compound, which Palin bought for $1.695 million in 2011, was first placed on the market last December for $2.499 million. With no potential buyers in sight, Palin knocked down the price tag to $2.375 million this March. The listing agent for the estate tells Global Mansion that the deal was closed on Friday (Sept. 16, 2016).
Sitting at 7,971 square feet, the massive residence boasts stunning fixtures, soaring ceilings and a number of fireplaces — both inside and out — throughout the property. The luxury abode also includes a large kitchen with granite countertops and a walk-in pantry, home theater, billiard room, wine cellar and not one, but two spacious master suite. (Pro tip: One of them even has access to a rooftop deck.)
Outside, the 4.4-acre lot has its own basketball and volleyball court, putting greens, bocce ball area and pool with a spa. There’s also a six-car garage with a roundabout driveway inside the gated estate.
