Today (Sept. 22, 2016), the 24-year-old hip-hop star paid a visit to Power 105’s The Breakfast Club where he chatted about blurring the line between his personal and professional life with Grande and revealed just how serious the couple is getting.
“Just because we are two people who are in love and have a great relationship doesn’t mean I am going to get weird about this incredible music we make,” he said on the show.
The new couple has recorded a few tracks together, but as Miller made clear during the interview, they were just collaborators when they recorded “My Favorite Part” back in 2013.
“We were just close friends,” he said. Then he added, “I’m here to talk about music and I happen to be in a fantastic relationship with someone I also enjoy making music with.”
When asked if his new album The Divine Feminine is entirely about his new girlfriend, he dismissed the idea.
“It’s crazy to me people are like ‘the whole album is about her,'” he replied. “I am saying like, timetable wise, how quickly you think I can make an album?”
Although Miller remained cagey about their lovey-dovey courtship, he did reveal how significant Grande has become in his life.
“That is a true thing in my life,” said the rapper. “She is amazing.”
