Sofia Vergara revealed that she went to dental school before figuring out that she wanted to be an actress.
“I wanted to be a doctor,” Vergara, 44, to the singer turned daytime talk show host, “but being a doctor takes so much time, years of studying. It’s difficult. So the next best thing for me at that time was to be a dentist. So I went to dentist school, but I didn’t finish.”
“I went for two years,” she added, before admitting that she never got the chance to actually work in anyone’s mouth. Instead, she’s now the highest-paid TV actress.
