Some cool news coming out of world of television this week, starting with a renewal for another wacky, creepy season of American Horror Story.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, FX has renewed Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk‘s horror anthology series for a seventh season. “Ryan, Brad and their team of remarkable writers have done an amazing job of keeping American Horror Story endlessly inventive, shocking and entertaining, and we are honored to move ahead with them on the seventh installment,” FX Networks and Productions CEO John Landgraf said Tuesday (Oct. 4, 2016) in a statement.
They’ll probably also follow the same marketing ploy they did for the current season, American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare, which is to keep whatever horrifying setting the seventh season will take place in a secret. It totally worked for Season 6, with its premiere being the third most-watched in the franchise’s history. FX says Season 7 premieres sometime next year.
In other TV news, a preview for the Brooklyn Nine-Nine/The New Girl crossover episode was released… and it looks like a hoot! According to the episodes’ official descriptions, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) finds herself in New York and runs into one detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg). He enlists her help in tracking down a suspect in a new case. Watch below.
