Kristen Stewart isn’t afraid to talk about her sexuality. Though she’s notoriously private when it comes revealing details about her love life with girlfriend Alicia Cargile, the actress insists she has nothing to hide.
“I’m not ashamed, and I’m not confused,” Stewart, who covers Elle‘s November 2016 issue, says. “Things have changed. And not just with me—we’re really allowed to encourage this new acceptance to develop and be awesome.”
However, Stewart isn’t the only person to open up about their lives to Elle. Celebrating powerful women in Hollywood, the publication has also chosen Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong’o, Anna Kendrick, Helen Mirren, Kathy Bates, Aja Naomi King and Felicity Jones to front their magazine as well.
“I grew up with a very limited mirror of myself. I watched a lot of TV, but the people on it were always light skinned. And now I have a platform that takes me into people’s houses and onto the pages of their magazines,” Nyong’o says.
“I spent the majority of my twenties trying to figure out who I was and where I fit in, not just in Hollywood, but also in the world,” Adams reveals. “It took me a long time to sort of find my own voice.”
