Emilia Clarke just snatched up a house that rivals the Red Keep in King’s Landing.
Seeing how there are only two more seasons to go before her show’s big finale, it seems the Game of Thrones actress is laying down some roots in the United States. According to Trulia, Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO series, has dropped $4.64 million on a new home in Venice, Calif.
Built in 2009, Clarke’s west coast abode is an architectural dream. Standing at 2,817 square feet, the contemporary residence boasts two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a living space fit for the Khaleesi herself. With glass wall view of the surrounding lush greenery in the backyard, the grand sitting room features floor-to-ceiling shelves that can probably hold more books than The Citadel, as the area opens to a modern kitchen with soapstone countertops, a marble backsplash and custom wood cabinetry concealing state-of-the-art appliances.
Upstairs, the sun-drenched master suite overlooks a garden and pool with a gentle waterfall and leads through an expansive, custom designed walk-in closet with a spa-like master bath. Another spacious bedroom and a laundry room with additional closets sit just down the hallway. (Hey, the girl needs a place to hang all her red carpet dresses!)
Other features include radiant floor heating throughout the luxury abode, a three-car garage and a covered patio encompassed by 80-year-old olive trees.
This certainly beats Vaes Dothrak, no? Take a tour inside Clarke’s home-away-from-the-Seven-Kingdoms — below.
