Warning! American Horror Story: Roanoke spoilers ahead!
Is this season’s twisty-turny season of AHS confusing you? Well, apparently we’re just getting started! According to the show’s creator Ryan Murphy, everything’s about to change this week. He also revealed that Lady Gaga’s terrifying Wood Witch character has some ties to a certain previous season.
“This season has been all about redoing the narrative of what we’ve always done,” Murphy told E! News. “I think it’s always been a sort of straight-forward version of storytelling. And what happened with this season, which is really broken into two halves, one through five, which everybody has hopefully seen, and then six through 10. And it’s a completely different show. It’s a completely different narrative form. Things that you thought to be true about people are revealed to not be true.”
The show-runner also revealed that two AHS alums, FinnWittrock and Taissa Farmiga, will be appearing on the show soon and let’s just say Murphy knows how to hype a performance: “Finn Wittrock is coming back soon, playing his most fucked-up character of all time. To the point where he was like, ‘This is so crazy that I don’t know that I can do it, but I’ll do it.’”
As for Gaga, in a recent chat with Vulture, Murphy revealed that the “Perfect Illusion” singer’s season 6 character is the witch that starts the coven central to the show’s third season! He went on to share that a future season of the gruesome show is returning to the witchy branch with Gaga in tow. These clues are as intricate as the show!
The next episode of American Horror Story: Roanoke airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. on FX.
