Khloé Kardashian has always been outspoken about body-shaming, and there’s one label she absolutely hates: Plus-size.
During Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Next Gen conference on Tuesday (Nov. 29, 2016), she said, “I used to be someone that they labeled as plus-size. Fuck that. I don’t want to be called that. I’m a woman with curves, and what I would say was average size at the time. I was very proud of who I was.”
Still, going clothes shopping was hard. “I felt so shamed at the time to go into boutiques and denim shopping,” explained Kardashian, whose own brand of jeans, Good American, comes in sizes 00 to 24. “It was something that was super hard for me.”
What was even more difficult was shopping with her “petite” sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian. “It would always make me feel super embarrassed to go shopping with my sisters.”
Khloé has slimmed down since then, but she remembers “the chubby girl in me, and I’m fighting for my old chubby self.” Watch the clip from the conference below!
