This cause of death of TV legend Mary Tyler Moore has been uncovered.
According to the actress’ death certificate obtained by TMZ, Moore passed away on Jan. 25 from cardiopulmonary arrest, a term used to describe what happens when there’s a stop in effective blood circulation due to the heart failure. It is not considered as a heart attack, but that Moore’s heart simply stopped beating.
Contributing actors of her death were listed as “aspiration pneumonia, hypoxia (lack of oxygen to her tissues) and diabetes mellitus,” according to the publication.
The death certificate states Moore was pronounced dead at 2:15 PM. She was 80.
The Hollywood icon was buried at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield, Conn., on Sunday (Jan. 29, 2017) in a private ceremony.
