A French judge traveled to New York this week to hear Kardashian’s testimony and to determine who broke into her apartment in Paris and robbed her of $5.6 million in jewelry at gunpoint. A source close to the reality star tells People, “It’s mentally exhausting for her to rehash all the details of that awful morning, but she wants the people responsible to get punished.”
They add that the robbery was “traumatizing” for Kardashian. “It still affects her every day life. She wants to get some kind of closure. Kim is returning to LA Friday afternoon. She can’t wait to get back to L.A,” they said.
Kardashian was bound and gagged during Paris Fashion Week last year. The burglars held her in a bathtub and made off with millions of dollars worth of jewelry, including her $4 million ring from Kanye West. French authorities arrested 17 suspects across France on Jan. 9, one of whom was her chauffeur in Paris. The driver and six other suspects were later released and four were indicted on Jan. 12. The remaining six suspects were charged on Jan. 13.
