Two 911 calls in reference to Barton’s GHB-induced meltdown were obtained by TMZ and posted online. The first call is from Barton’s “back neighbor” who reports that the actress is hysterically shouting over her fence.
“She’s screaming and she keeps on saying, ‘I just want to die,'” says the first neighbor. “And then she’s like, ‘I’m gonna kill myself’ … it’s all nonsensical.”
The caller adds that the police visit Barton “at least every couple of months because she loses it.”
“She’s saying that it’s all over, that everything is done, and then just wailing,” says the second neighbor before he tells the 911 operator that Barton is hanging over her fence.

Police responded to “multiple calls” around 7:15 a.m. on Jan. 26, 2017 about a disturbance coming from Barton’s home. Barton later spoke out about the incident, alleging that someone slipped her the “date rape drug” GHB while she was celebrating her 31st birthday with her friends.
“On the evening of the 25th, I went out with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. While having drinks, I realized that something was not right as my behavior was becoming erratic and continued to intensify over the next several hours,” Barton said in the statement to People.
“I voluntarily went to get professional help, and I was informed by their staff that I had been given GHB. After an overnight stay, I am home and doing well,” the statement continued. “I would like to extend a big thanks of gratitude to the professionals at Cedars-Sinai for their great care and professionalism. This is a lesson to all young women out there, be aware of your surroundings.”
