Perry and Bloom started dating just last year in January. They were last spotted out together at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday after spending significant time traveling on their own. Identical statements were released to People on Wednesday (Mar. 1, 2017) via their reps to confirm that they are “taking respectful, loving space at this time.”
A source close to Perry told People that the relationship, which “was never really supposed to be serious,” became too much work for the actor and the musician.
“Because it wasn’t something permanent, it just became time to take a break,” the source said.
In addition to making this change in her love life, Perry also switched up her look by cutting her hair into a short pixie cut.
“I WASNT READY TILL NOW,” she wrote in the caption of the video below, noting on her Instagram story that her new ‘do was inspired by Michelle Williams.
