A ‘Friends’ Off-Broadway Musical Is Headed Our Way

Your most beloved sitcom, Friends, has been adapted into an off-Broadway unauthorized musical parody that you will be able to see this fall.

Friends! The Musical was created by Bob and Tobly McSmith, who previously produced musical parodies such as Saved by the Bell, Full House, and Katdashians! The Musical.

“Could we BE more excited about the chance to parody such an important TV show?!” Tobly tells Entertainment Weekly. “Not only do we poke fun and celebrate the show, we also get some jokes in about the actor’s lives,” including their hefty salaries and personal lives.”

He confirms that smelly cat, Janice, and Fat Monica will all be involved.

“We want all the alumni of Friends to come to the show and possibly be in it for a night or two — our first call is to the agent of Marcel the Monkey.”

Friends! The Musical will open in the fall at The Triad Theatre and tickets will go on sale in June. Check out the musical’s website for more information. Meanwhile, here are a few of the original songs that will be featured in the production.
