When you’re party-hopping around Coachella, you’re bound to see a familiar face or two. That was the case for Kylie Jenner who — as much as she tried to avoid ex-boyfriend Tyga — wound up running into the rapper at the desert music festival.
The former couple, who seemingly made it their mission to distance themselves by attending different invite-only events all weekend, finally crossed paths on the last day of the festival Sunday night (Apr. 16, 2017). An onlooker told People Jenner and Tyga “shared an awkward hug” backstage right before headliner Kendrick Lamar‘s set.
“Kylie looked really sad as she walked away,” the source said.
Jenner was reportedly waiting in the wings for rumored fling Travis Scott to hit the stage for a surprise appearance. The insider claimed when Scott — who was seen partying with Jenner the night before — joined Lamar to perform “Goosebumps,” Tyga immediately ducked out with his entourage.
“A bodyguard began pushing through the crowd with a flashlight to get Tyga and his friends away from the stage,” an eyewitness said. “After Travis exited the stage, Tyga emerged on the side nearest the fence to begin watching again, as Schoolboy Q took the stage to perform ‘That Part’ with Kendrick.”
