Styles and Corden cover major ground in the 14-minute segment, singing Styles’ new hits, performing scenes from Notting Hill and Titanic, and debating what it means to cry in a “cool way.”
“[‘Sign of the Times’] makes me cry performing it sometimes,” Styles told Corden. “I find it quite emotional…in like, a cool way.”
Styles also revealed that his mom cried the first time she heard his self-titled album for the very first time.
“She did cry, in a cool way,” Styles joked, adding that her favorite song on the album is “Sweet Creature.”
In the middle of their car ride, Corden and Styles decided to swap shirts over and over and over again until they were each left with the nippliest shirts that The Late Late Show has ever seen.
This beautiful segment of “Carpool Karaoke” marked the end of his week-long residency with Corden on The Late Late Show. You can purchase his new album on Amazon and buy tickets for his tour, here. Watch the full skit at the top of the page.
