This 90 Day Fiancé star must not know what a joke is, because if he thinks this is a good one, it isn’t. He tried to convince fans that he contracted coronavirus, something that has been affecting thousands of people across the world.
The star angered fans, and then played it off as if nothing happened. Seriously though, why would someone do this?!
So here’s the thing—we all know Jesse Meester is a lot. He isn’t known for his honestly, but this time he’s done something that is just plain unethical.
A while back, Meester claimed he was robbed in a Barcelona Starbucks. He said he lost his designer bag, a $43,000 watch, a $6000 watch, and his passport. He wrote a long, sad caption on Instagram about losing his belongings and learning that life is about more than just material goods.
Some fans were skeptical and thought he would use this incident to start a Go Fund Me campaign. One reddit user found inconsistencies in his story, including the amount of money lost. So this time, in an ever-so-Jesse manner, the former 90 Day Fiancé star has piggybacked on a growing international crisis to get attention.
Meester went on Instagram live to show followers that he was sick. In the screenshot, he is lying in bed with an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose.
His caption reads, “Will I be okay?? #coronatime #corona #coronavirus.”
So, besides the fact that #coronatime sounds like something you do on a beach at 3 pm, Meester is pretty much just using a deadly virus for attention.
The disease has spread to The Netherlands and many other European countries, so we can assume that even if Meester is not in his home country, he could very possibly be in one that has confirmed cases.
It appears that Meester is not ill. On the contrary, his Instagram story today was him on set for a commercial. He then posted a second coronavirus post, which seemed to be a joke about the illness having reached France.
And as per usual, fans on reddit had plenty to say.
