When you’re famous – even if that’s just by reality TV standards – there’s one major thing that you sacrifice: privacy. Even though some stars do their best to keep prying eyes out of their personal lives, when it comes to the Teen Mom cast, it’s pretty much their jobs to do the opposite.
Unfortunately, that can put the girls in some unsafe situations – like the one that Catelynn Lowell finds herself in now.
Even though reality TV is relatively new, the genre has seen a lot of changes in its short lifespan. Recently, a huge cultural shift took place when Kim Kardashian West was targeted by a robber after she shared her location on social media.
Since then, reality stars and celebrities alike have been taking their privacy and security more seriously, as it has become easier and easier for people to target them.
Unfortunately, these safety concerns seem to be affecting many reality stars, not only the A-listers.
In fact, many Teen Mom stars have revealed that fans have stalked them by using images of their home from the show as well as details they post online!
Both Kailyn Lowry and Chelsea Houska have revealed that fans have shown up at their homes before. Now, Cate is sharing a similar experience.
“Okay I love my supporters I honestly do!!” Catelynn shared on Instagram. “Please quit showing up at our home…”
She added, “Our home is our safe space so please respect that.”
She continued in the comments, “Please understand that I really do love all of our supporters.”
Fans were quick to sound off about this disturbing share.
