Chelsea Houska has had many business ventures in her lifetime, but once upon a time, she started Chelsea’s Choices, which never really took off.
Since then, the Teen Mom star has had numerous fashion lines, but has she been scamming her fans this entire time?
Alright, so super fans will remember the year 2013 when Chelsea Houska was just starting to dip her toes into the entrepreneurial waters. She started a company called “Chelsea’s Choices,” which was an online jewelry and accessory business.
She wrote on her website:
Hi! I’m so excited that you are all sharing this moment with me. I am starting Aubree’s and my new jewelry and accessory line! Yaaay! We both love nothing more than style and fashion and we want to spread the love. My team and I are scouring the globe to find the most exciting pieces and bring them to you directly, cutting out the middleman. A stunning way for you to get the greatest designs from Europe and Asia at great prices! These are all pieces I love. I called them the “iHeartu” collection, because I hope you’ll love them too. We made sure to find the highest quality jewelry, yet keep them affordable, so everyone can enjoy them. They make great gifts! Make sure you bookmark this page and check in often, as we will be adding items you’ll love frequently.
We “heart” you!
Chels and Aubs
But, about three months later the site was completely wiped. According to the blog Totally Teen Mom, fans said they had ordered jewelry from the site but never received their orders, calling it a “waste of time.”
At the time, Chelsea admitted that a lot of the pieces would be coming from Europe and Asia. Many of the pieces were being sold at incredibly discounted prices (think $2-3 a pop), but Chelsea was marking them up to about $25 a piece, with an additional $7 shipping.
It is unclear whether or not fans ever got their jewelry or their money back.
Since then, Chelsea has sold numerous items with various different boutiques and companies, so it looks like the bad press didn’t deter her from trying again. Hopefully, her products have increased in quality since 2013…
