The Duggars tend to get into trouble every now and then, and this time there is a big mess to clean up! One of their real estate ventures did not go as planned, and now they have to deal with the consequences. A septic tank was improperly installed, causing a $20,000 mess.
This family doesn’t always have it together when it comes to their business ventures, and this is sure to be some pretty gross PR for them as well. One Duggar husband was caught in the mess, and we’re not sure how he’s going to dig himself out.
This couple has stirred controversy before. Back in July, the pair unfortunately experienced a miscarriage, but dealt with the upsetting news in an extremely uncomfortable way. After announcing their miscarriage, Joy-Anna and Austin shared photos of their lost child.
Joy-Anna was 20 weeks pregnant when she learned her baby no longer had a heartbeat, and on July 5th, they shared a photo of themselves in the hospital.
“Today marks one week since we heard these words,” the couple wrote. “‘So this is your baby’s heart…I don’t hear a heartbeat or see any movement.’ We had gone in for our 20-week ultrasound and gender reveal.”
The couple then shared that “it was a baby girl.” In true Duggar fashion, they then shared a bible verse about the experience and the name they gave to their deceased baby. Fans were less than pleased to see the accompanying photos of the couple holding the stillborn baby.
“We only had her for 20 weeks, Life is fragile and precious. So thankful the Lord gave her to us for that short time!” read the caption. “Thank you all for your love and support! We can feel the prayers!”
Joy-Anna then thanked her friend for doing her hair and makeup, “Thank you, @carlinbates98 for coming to town to be here for me and for doing my hair and makeup for pictures with our little girl!”
“I’ve already posted my condolences…Can’t help but wonder though at such a gut-wrenching time…you felt the need to have your hair and makeup done for photos with your baby,” one fan commented on the post.
Thankfully this time around no one experienced a miscarriage, but Austin is in some deep septic trouble!
The real-estate agent is being sued for improperly installing a septic tank in a home. The Hollywood Gossip reported that Austin is being sued for fraud, which resulted in $20,000 in damages to the plaintiff’s home.
According to the reddit user that shared the news, the lawsuit was filed on October 19. The docket report he shared shows Austin as the defendant in the case. The Duggar husband did not have the proper permits and inspections before installing a septic system. The plaintiff is suing Austin for the damages and possibly trying to reverse the sale of the house altogether.
The source speculated that this house was the one Austin and Joy-Anna first lived in, and the case will probably go to trial in the new year.
