Jenelle Evans and her mother Barbara are at it once again.
Though the pair seemed to have been getting along slightly better in recent months, conflict has arisen after David Eason allegedly put Jace into the hospital with his abuse.
Now, as Jenelle and Barbara are vying for custody in the fallout, Jenelle has issued a statement about her mother.
The 14-year-old was removed from his home by Child Protective Services and sent to live with his grandmother after it was reported that Jenelle’s husband, David Eason, was abusing the teenager.
It also turns out that Jenelle has not spoken to her son in over 6 weeks.
The Sun noted that in December, the court will come to a final decision about the custody of Jace.
They will decide if Jace will move back home with Jenelle and David in North Carolina, if “other arrangements” will be made, or if he will continue to live with Barbara where he is currently residing at the moment.
“CPS doesn’t want to be involved for any longer than they have to,” an insider told the outlet.
The insider added, “They want to get the child settled into whatever is best for him as soon as possible.”
According to the outlet, Jace will be able to have a major say in the decision because of his age.
“The judge will heavily consider what Jace says he wants since he’s 14, and can speak for himself,” the source explained.
