Jinger and Jeremy are almost parents!
It’s about time we got some feel-good news out of the Duggar camp, so get ready for your monthly dose! The conservative reality stars are stirring up scandals left and right these days, but there’s nothing scandalous about Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo’s first child on the way! The couple, who had been married for over a year before they conceived, opened up to Us Weekly this week to fill in fans on Jinger’s journey to motherhood. While she talks the more inconvenient side of carrying children, her excitement about motherhood is definitely electric!
The Counting On star got candid about the past few months, talked birth plans, and opened up about how she’s feeling now.
Long Time Coming
It’s been a long road to motherhood for Jinger Duggar, or, perhaps, just a longer road than Duggar fans are used to. The star tied the knot with her hubby Jeremy Vuolo in November of 2016 and moved to Laredo, Tex. soon after. While most of her sisters find themselves expecting within weeks or months of walking down the aisle, Jinger held off a bit longer. Of course, rumors that Jinger was using birth control (which is against her family’s strict religious rules) sprang up causing their fair share of scandal, but when Jinger announced that she was finally pregnant, there was nothing but joy and support from fans.
Now, Jinger is opening up about her journey to motherhood. The TLC star spoke to Us Weekly in a candid interview this week where she talked birth plans, napping, and everything else about her long-awaited pregnancy!
Jinger told Us that she’s now in the honeymoon stage of her pregnancy, but the past few months weren’t all smooth sailing. The Counting On star said that she had severe morning sickness at the beginning that’s just recently started subsiding. Apparently it was so bad that her husband had to step in and get her food for weeks on end!
“[Jeremy] got me take out food a lot because I did not want to step foot in the kitchen. It made me nauseous, so he did that for that season and that was very, very good,” she told the outlet.
As for now, she’s “feeling really good at this point!”
“I’m passed any and all morning sickness,” the reality personality said.
Morning sickness wasn’t the only thing the star had to deal with. According to Jinger she’s been most surprised by how tired she is all the time ― and that’s one she’s still suffering through.
“I was never a napper, like having to take a nap, and now it’s like, ‘Ooh! I think I want to nap every day!’” she told Us Weekly.
Luckily for Jinger, she’s got a team of seasoned veterans in her corner when it comes to what’s normal and what’s not while expecting. Her sisters and mother have all lent hands, ears, and advice to the young mom-to-be over throughout the last few months.
“They’ve said ‘Just take a nap, don’t feel bad if you need to lay down in the middle of the day,’” she told the outlet. “Especially when I was in all the morning sickness, I talked to them a lot about what they did, how they got through their morning sickness and I think that was some of the best advice — just resting, taking it easy.”
