In case you missed it, Josh Duggar got arrested again.
About a month ago, the eldest Duggar was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography. This is just another crime on his long list of wrongdoings, but nonetheless, it has brought up some feelings from the past.
Back in 2015, the scandal broke that Josh had molested young girls when he was 14, two of which were his sisters, Jill and Jessa. This was obviously very difficult for the women, but they chose to come forward with what happened and addressed it publicly.
Now, fans are wondering whether his sisters will finally take legal action.
Recently, Josh Duggar was arrested for being in possession of child pornography. Suffice to say, this disturbing update has sent ripples through not only the Duggar viewership, but also his family itself.
After the arrest, TLC, which aired ten seasons of 19 Kids And Counting, shared their statement.
“TLC is saddened to learn about the continued troubles involving Josh Duggar,” the network told People Magazine. “19 Kids and Counting has not aired since 2015. TLC canceled the show on the heels of prior allegations against Josh Duggar and he has not appeared on-air since then.”
These accusations include a 2006 police report that attested Josh molested five underage girls including his sisters Jill and Jessa. After this surfaced in 2015, TLC canceled the show.
“I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends,” Josh told People at the time. “I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation.”
After being arrested by Homeland Security, People reports, Josh plead not guilty to the possession of child pornography.
“Josh Duggar has been charged in a two-count indictment. He has pled not guilty to both charges and we intend to defend this case aggressively and thoroughly,” the statement by Josh’s attorney read. “In this country, no one can stop prosecutors from charging a crime. But when you’re accused, you can fight back in the courtroom — and that is exactly what Josh intends to do.”
Josh was later released on bail. He has been confined to his home with a tracking device and is not allowed to have contact with his children unless Anna is present.
At the time, the judge said that she “cannot in good conscience” send Josh back to his home filled with children. “Don’t make me regret this decision,” she warned.
For a while now, it has appeared that Anna has been nothing but supportive of her husband during this time. She recently shared a throwback photo of Josh playing chess with their son on Instagram. The photo was screenshot by Katie Joy, who runs the @withoutacrystalball Instagram account.
“Moments ago Anna Duggar posted this photo to her stories – then removed it,” she captioned the screenshot. “Duggar Bates Confessions caught it. A look at her saved stories this is an old photo from 2019 at a game night. It is interesting that she chose a photo of Josh playing games with their son Michael though.”
According to The Hollywood Gossip, Anna has not been dealing with her husband’s arrest very well.
“Anna is in denial. Jim Bob is telling people she is defending Josh and no longer speaking to most of the family,” a source told The Sun. “Jim Bob said she blames him and wife Michelle for Josh’s arrest.”
According to the source, Anna thinks that her husband is more innocent than not.
“Anna feels it all stems from how they dealt with his previous molestation scandal after he assaulted his sisters,” they continued. “She also thinks that this case is a conspiracy theory against her husband set up by the Biden administration. She believes that if Donald Trump was still in power this would not be happening, and refuses to believe he’s done anything wrong.”
So although Anna might blame Joe Biden for her husband’s indecency, fans aren’t so quick to agree. One internet sleuth found a creepy comment that Josh had left for his sister Jessa before she was married…
