Uh oh, what could this mean for their wedding?
After paparazzi photos of the couple crying in a park surfaced online, fans became concerned about whether or not the pair would be going through with their wedding. After all, many argued, the two of them got engaged after just recently rekindling their romance.
As it turns out, Biebs and his fiancée have been going through a bit rough patch.
When Justin, 24, left his apartment on Wednesday, Aug. 8, he confirmed to the paparazzi that he had been crying when he was photographed looking glum while out with Hailey, 21, earlier in the week.
After being pressed about what he was discussing with his girlfriend that made him so emotional, the “Sorry” singer reassured fans that things were alright — despite that he had been experiencing some “bad days” with the model.
“This!” he said, holding up a copy of The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller, a self-help book about married life. “You got good days and you got bad days.”
He added with a smirk, “It’s not real if it doesn’t have any bad days.”
The Canadian crooner didn’t explain exactly what his so-called “bad day” was, but it appears he is still going strong with Hailey. The two, who dated on-and-off in 2016 before reconciling this year, were spotted together at his apartment after the crying pictures made its way to the internet.
“I don’t want to put anyone in a position where they feel like I’m only theirs, only to be hurt in the end,” he told GQ in 2016, calling Hailey “someone I really love.”
“I know that in the past I’ve hurt people and said things that I didn’t mean to make them happy in the moment. So now I’m just more so looking at the future, making sure I’m not damaging them,” he reflected. “What if Hailey ends up being the girl I’m gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it’s always gonna be damaged. It’s really hard to fix wounds like that. It’s so hard.”
